Week 4 Reading Notes Part A: Death of Vali

Vali's Death was an epic battle, it should be a good story. I think I'll write about this story this week. I think it's interesting he's called the monkey king. Makes one wonder if there's any connection to Sun Wu Kong from Chinese mythology.

Week 11 Story: The Turtle that couldn't stop talking

Once upon a time, there was a lonely turtle in living in a pond all alone. He saw two geese that were flying south for the winter and they passed by his pond. He called up to them and they flew down to him and they stuck up a conversation. Soon, the three of them became very close friends and they spent the entire winter with the turtle. The turtle showed the two geese around his small little pond and showed them the best places to look for food and where the best places to swim were. However, at the end of winter the geese were leaving to go back to their home. The geese noticed the sad look on the turtle’s face as they were telling him that they needed to go back to their home.
