Growth Mindset

I learned a little about Growth Mindset last semester in the Myth-Folklore class. I really enjoyed the video's about "The Power of Yet". I really liked the video Believing you can improve from this semesters list. No matter what I do, I try and do the best and be the best at it especially if it is a competitive activity. I may not be the greatest at it when I am first starting out, but I always try to improve and get better. I do have some personal goals this semester, primarily to finish the semester strong with good grades as this is my last semester in school if everything goes well. Another goal I have is to lose some weight before my summer trip to Disney world.

  1. Jake, it is awesome that you had a chance to take one of Laura's courses before. I have really enjoyed this online format, so I wish I had the chance to do the same. It is also my last semester (if everything goes well, like you said!) best of luck to you with your courses and have a blast at Disney!

  2. Hi Jake!

I would like to take another course with Laura because I have enjoyed Indian Epics so much! I think improvement is a huge component of the growth mindset because if you choose to acknowledge there's room for improvement, you are allowing yourself to further reach for the starts. Good luck with the rest of the semester!
